Compliance with regulations
We support pharmaceutical clients to achieve the required compliance with regulations for Track & Trace including the Falsified Medicines Directive. VistaLink is the exclusive partner integrator for Antares Vision solutions for serialization, aggregation and Track & Trace. We integrate and support these modular systems in pharmaceutical packaging locations in Benelux, Scandinavia, Ireland and the UK.
Serialization
Serialization is the assignment and application of a serial number to any individual item (product and/or package) to be sold to a consumer. This product identifier is recorded on the outer packaging, typically the carton or bottle, and it must be unique and verifiable.
Aggregation
Aggregation means building the parent-child relationship as products move through the supply chain of a customer. At each packaging stage information is collected and saved, parent codes are assigned and data is recorded as required by relevant market regulations.
Site tracking and Level 4/ 5 integration
Antares Vision deliver a range of software solutions to enable site tracking and communication of data across sites with an external repository. The Global Tracking System (in short GTS) is at the heart of the Track &Trace system. Run on a remote server, its main function is to allocate work orders issued by the ERP to production lines. When production is running, GTS receives in real time the production data from all lines, as well as statistics, serialised codes and audit trails. It stores them in the Site Database, where they are accessible to the plant’s ERP.
The access to GTS is managed through security levels in full compliance with 21 CFR part 11, therefore only authorised operators can access production functions.
Our company implemented a 100% inspection system in collaboration with VistaLink to detect and prevent defects at customer level and to meet their quality standards. The system was able to check parts quality with more than 15 quality criteria on a total production of 275 Million units per year. Despite the complexity of the project itself, the system was successfully implemented in more than 20 manufacturing lines and the quality delivered to our customers increased enormously. It helped us to prevent defects and to improve our process.
